How to use the PS4-WIFI to install the ps4 pkg games.

1.Open ps4 console and plug the ps4-wifi into the USB socket. LED will remain bright. And it will blink only on files transferring.

Please do not plug USB flash drive or USB removable hard disk into your ps4 conolse when you do the jailbreak process.

2.Go to Settings -> Network ->Set Up Internet Connection.

3.Choose Use Wi-Fi option -> Easy.

4.Select WiFi network identified by PS4-WIFI. ( no password , no dns )

5.Set next options to their default values, until you reach the end of the networking setup.

6.After that you can test Internet connnection, rember that your ps4 console is connected to PS4-WIFI instead of the Internet. So its normal when shows that the internet connection failed.

7.Finally go to the Settings -> Users Guide/Helpful info, then choose the User's Guide. The website installed into PS4-WIFI will be shown.

8.Now you can choose the payloads you want to use

9.Click the PS4 controller logo, and will go to the ps4 payloads page. Then select the PS4 5.05 button.

10.Click the HEN logo,Start to jailbreak the ps4 system 5.05

11.If Jailbreak successfully, it will show "you're all set!".

12.Then you can go to the ps4 Settings, Move to the buttom and you can see the Option "Debug Settings".

13.Prepare a USB removable hard drive, format it as exFAT and put the PS4 fake pkg games into the root directory, then plug the USB hard disk into the PS4 console.

14.Then Enter Settings -> Debug Settings -> Game -> Package Installer, the pkg games stored on the USB hard disk will be automatically displayed, you can choose and press O to instlall the games.

How to update/burn the firmware

• Flash the PS4-WIFI please using NodeMCU PyFlasher support Winodws 7/10 and MacOS.

• Plug the PS4-WIFI into your PC, install the usb serial chip CP2012 driver.Here is the download link of the official driver for the CP2012

• After the installation, you can check whether the driver is installed successfully in the Device Manager.

Note: The serial COM number may not be the same on different computer. The below serial interface is COM16 that on my computer.

• Then open the NodeMCU PyFlasher and choose the COM port and the .bin fireware, select Baude rate, Flash mode,earse flash as the picture below. Chick "Flash NodeMCU" to flash!

• When the burnning is complete, the console will print "Done"

How to Downloading & Storing PS4 Games and Apps to an External HDD Guide

To quote: Minimum HDD spec The most important thing to remember before you buy a new storage device – or try to use one you already own – is to make sure it meets the minimum requirements for use with your PS4:

• Connection: USB 3.0 or later
• Storage: 250GB (min) – 8TB (max)

Note: There is no guarantee that all USB storage devices are compatible with your system.

Format your external HDD

Most storage devices will be a specific format out-of-the-box (usually FAT32/exFAT/NTFS/HFS). To prepare it for use with your PS4 you’ll need to format it to a special type exFAT on your PC to ensure it will work.

Then Next

1. Go to the Settings menu from your PS4 home screen.
2. Scroll down to the Devices menu.
3. Choose USB Storage Devices.

4. Select your external HDD, then choose Format as extended storage.

   You’ll see a number of warnings that formatting your device will remove any previously installed data, so before you hit OK, make sure that there’s nothing stored on the device that you don’t want to lose.

   It’s also important to note that once you’ve formatted your external HDD to this specific PS4 format, you can only use it for PS4 games and apps – you won’t be able to store screenshots and video clips, saved data, Themes or any other types of media, documents, pictures on it, without re-formatting to its original state.

5.Once formatting is complete, you’ll see a message confirming that it’s been successful and a small green light will appear next to the device’s name, letting you know it’s activated as the main storage location.

Installing games and apps (and adds-on) to your external HDD/internal storage

Once formatted, your external HDD will be set as the default download location as long as it remains plugged in.

If you want to switch back to your PS4 internal storage for downloads (and back again to the external HDD), that’s easy too:

1. Go to the Settings menu from your PS4 home screen.
2. Scroll down to Storage.
3. Choose which location you want to download to – either System Storage or your external HDD. Press the Options button and select Application install location to set the target download location – either System Storage or Extended Storage.

Moving games and apps onto your external HDD device

If you want to organize the games and apps that are currently installed on your PS4 internal storage, you can easily move them over to the external storage device:

1. Go to the Settings menu from your PS4 home screen.
2. Scroll down to the Storage.

3. Select System Storage

4. Then Applications,Press the Options button, then choose Move to Extended Storage.

5. Choose which games and apps you want to move by ticking the boxes that appear next to their names. You can select as many as you like, providing your external HDD has enough free space to store them.

1. Select ‘Move’ then hit ‘OK’ to begin the transfer.

Removing your external HDD device

It’s very important not to remove your USB storage device when your PS4 is switched on without properly disconnecting it.

To remove the external HDD,

• access the Quick Menu by holding down the PS button on your controller,
• then choose Sound/Devices then Stop using extended storage.
• Once that’s done, you’ll see a message that it’s safe to disconnect the device from the USB port.

Anything else?

1. When your external HDD is plugged in, games and apps will display as normal on your PS4 Home Screen, with the most recently played games appearing first.
2. If you don’t have your external HDD connected, the games you’ve played from it will still appear in your Home Screen list and Library – however, they’ll display a ‘!’ symbol to show that they can’t be played until the device is re-connected
3. You need to connect the HDD directly to your PS4. A USB Hub cannot be used in between. So that’s it – no more agonizing choices of which games to delete when that hot new title hits PlayStation Store. With up to 8TB supported for external storage, even the most avid trophy hunter should have plenty to keep themselves busy. Enjoy!

How to use PS4-WIFI to achive OFF-LINE jailbreak?

• Set up the OFF-LINE well Jailbreak with the PS4-WIFI module once, and no need to connect the PS4-WIFI anymore. But do not throw it away, you do not know when its going to be used, the PS4-WIFI is the easiest and safest way to jailbreak the PS4 console.
• Only support the PS4 5.05, from now on.
• Please update your PS4-WIFI fireware to ps4-wifi-fireware0706_v7.bin
• Do not connect the internet when you are on the Jailbreak. Please Keep in Mind.

Steps

1.Power on the PS4-WIFI

Plug the PS4-WIFI into your PS4 console or other devices that can be powered by the USB interface. When the PS4-WIFI power on the blue led will on. When transfer data, the blue LED will blink.

2.Open your PS4 console, make sure that your are on system 5.05. Go to Settings -> Network -> Set Up Internet Connection -> Use WIFI -> Easy. The available WIFI network list will show.

3.Choose the "PS4-WIFI" and Press ENTER. The PS4 console will connect the PS4-WIFI auto, no passwd, no DNS, easy and fast.

4.When it connect, Press "X" button on your ps4 controller. Go back to the ps4.

5.Open the Browser, type the IP address 10.10.10.1 into the URL block. Then press the button "R2" on your controller.

6.The main page of the PS4-WIFI will show below.

7.Choose the PS4 logo.

8.Select PS4 5.05

9.Then Choose HEN-Offline

This is the key things of the OFF-LINE.

10.When your host is jailbreaked by the HEN, the HEN files are also stored in your browser cache.

11.Press the Button "Options" , choose Add Bookmark, add this page to your browser, so next time you do not need to connect the PS4-WIFI again. Just open this page again and you will get Truely OFF-Line Jailbreak.

12.Press OK.

13.Done!

Congratulations that you have completed the OFF-LINE function settings. You can power off the PS4-WIFI and restart the PS4 host (the host will back to the original unbreak system after restart, you need to re-hack it again).
